# Display Gallery on a Specific Shopify Page

### Shopify Custom Page Gallery Integration Guide

#### **1. Executive Summary & Problem Context**
When adding an application section like the Essential Grid Gallery in the Shopify Theme Editor, changes made to the **Default Page** template will automatically cascade across all standard informational pages (such as "About Us", "Contact", and "FAQ"). To display a gallery exclusively on a single dedicated page, you must create an independent custom JSON template inside your theme.

#### **2. Step-by-Step Implementation**
* **Step 1:** N**avigate to Page Templates**
Go to your Shopify Online Store Theme Customizer.

In the top-center bar drop-down navigation menu, change the view category from *Home Page* to **Pages**.

* **Step 2:** **Create a New Custom Template**
Instead of editing the default item, select the **Create template** button at the bottom of the drop-down.

* **Step 3: Name and Save Your Template**
Provide a clear, alphanumeric suffix for your new template layout (e.g., `gallery-page`). Make sure it is based on your theme's default settings and click save.

* **Step 4: Inject the Essential Grid Gallery Section**
In the left-hand theme customizer menu toolbar, click **Add Section**. Shift the focus from standard sections to the **Apps** tab, and choose **Essential Grid Gallery**.

* **Step 5: Define the Target Grid ID**
Click on the newly inserted block to open its options panel on the right side. Map your specific grid by inputting its unique **Grid ID**.
    * *Note:* If you only have one active grid configured inside the app dashboard, it will auto-populate. For multiple setups, manually copy and paste the target ID.

* **Step 6: Assign the Template to the Target Page**
Exit the Customizer and return to the primary Shopify administrative dashboard. Navigate to **Online Store > Pages** and open your dedicated gallery page. In the right sidebar under **Online store > Theme template**, swap the template assignment from `Default page` to your new custom template (e.g., `page.gallery-page`). Click **Save**.

* **Step 7: Perform Quality Assurance Checks**
Preview the live page to verify the grid renders correctly, and cross-reference your site's other pages to confirm they remain unaffected.
