How to Create a Shoppable Video Gallery Using Essential Grid Gallery
Overview
This tutorial guides store owners through creating a shoppable video gallery by importing a template, linking store products, and embedding internal Shopify, YouTube, and Vimeo videos. It is designed to help boost store sales by showcasing products alongside engaging video content.
Prerequisites
- Access to the Essential Grid Gallery dashboard.
- A product collection created in Shopify containing the products you want to display.
- A video uploaded to your Shopify admin files.
- A YouTube video and its specific video ID.
- A Vimeo video and its specific video ID.
Steps
Step 1: Import the Shoppable Gallery Template
- From the Essential Grid Gallery dashboard, click on Use a template.

- Choose Photo Gallery option from the popup.

- Click on the Shoppable tab located on the left menu.
- Choose the preferred template from the available options.
- Click the Install button.
- This will Open imported gallery to proceed to the editor.

Step 2: Connect Your Shoppable Products
- Navigate to the Edit Element button on the top of the grid items.

- Navigate to the Shoppable tab in the pop up.
- Select the specific product you want to display on the grid item.
- Click the Update & Refresh button to apply the changes.

Step 3: Add an Internally Uploaded Shopify Video
- Click on the settings icon (Edit product meta option) for the first grid item.
- Go to the Alternative tab.
- In a separate browser tab, navigate to your Shopify dashboard and go to the Content tab, then select the Files tab.
- Copy the link of your pre-uploaded video.

- Return to the app editor and paste the link into the internal video link field.
- Click the Update & refresh button, then click the Save Gallery button.

Step 4: Publish and Preview the Gallery
- Publish the gallery to your Shopify homepage in the traditional way by copying the gallery id and paste it in the app block
- Click the Save button.
- Check the live preview of your store to verify that the shoppable video gallery displays and functions properly.
