How to Create an Album Gallery in Shopify with Essential Grid Gallery App

The Essential Grid Gallery app lets you create beautiful and responsive album-style galleries in your Shopify store. This guide walks you through the steps to create an Album Gallery, where clicking on a main item opens a set of related images.

🎯 What is an Album Gallery?

An Album Gallery displays grouped images under a single thumbnail or category. When users click on an album, they see the full set of images inside that group, perfect for showcasing collections, product categories, event albums, and more.

🔹 Step 1: Open the Essential Grid App

1. Go to your Shopify Admin.
2. Navigate to Apps > Essential Grid Gallery.
3. Click Create Empty Grid or choose an existing one to modify.

🔹 Step 2: Creating the Gallery and modify it

1. Add images to the gallery in bulks.
2. Set the gallery settings according to your need.
3. Set the skin of the gallery to "Simple" for better usability

🔹 Step 3: Add parent gallery to a page

1. Create a new page.
2. Add the gallery ID to the Page metafields.
3. After that add the source metafield to the page through the customize option of the theme.

1. Create a new page and the sub gallery.
2. Add the gallery ID to the Page metafields and publish to the page by following the same parent gallery method.
3. Collect the page link of the sub gallery.

1. Link the sub gallery page to the parent gallery related image.
