# How to get Vimeo ID

To embed or reference a Vimeo video, you need the **Vimeo video ID—a** unique number assigned to each video.

### Step 1: Open the Vimeo video.

Go to the Vimeo video you want to use.

### Step 2: Look at the URL

The URL will look something like this:

| https://vimeo.com/972807915

### Step 3: Find the Video ID

* The **Vimeo ID** is the number at the end of the URL.
    
* In this example, the ID is:
    **972807915**

### Notes:

* Vimeo IDs are **only numbers**.
    
* You can find the ID in the address bar or in a shared link.

### Important Note:

Don't forget to set the vimeo video at the top of the source and mark the box.
