Theme V1 Gallery Not Showing in Shopify? Update Your Essential Grid Embed Code

If you’re using the Essential Grid app on Shopify Store version 1, you may have published your gallery in the past using the old Gallery Embed code.
With the recent update, the embed code format has changed. This means that if you save an old gallery without updating the embed code, the gallery will no longer display on your storefront.


🔹 How to Fix the Issue

To make your gallery appear again, you will need to replace the old embed code with the new one in your page templates.


  1. Go to your Essential Grid dashboard in Shopify.
  2. Find the gallery you want to update.
  3. Open it for editing.


  1. Once inside the gallery editor, locate the new Gallery Embed Code.
  2. Click Copy to copy the code to your clipboard.




Step 3: Update Your Page Template

  1. In Shopify, go to Online Store → Pages.
  2. Edit the page where your gallery should appear.
  3. Replace the old embed code with the new Gallery Embed Code you just copied.
  4. Save your changes.




Step 4: Check Your Storefront

  • Refresh the live page to confirm that your gallery is displaying correctly with the updated embed code.


✅ Important Note

This change only affects users who published galleries with the old embed code.
If you’re creating a new gallery after the update, you’re already using the new embed code — no extra steps needed.
